Quiet Luxury with a Refined Industrial Feel
A luxury property agent, our client has seen many beautiful kitchens but fell in love with a brand exclusive to Veritas. We injected unexpected, design elements to his large kitchen dining space, the focal point of which was to be an oversized central island. Dark oak veneer floor-to-ceiling cabinets deliver a strong seamless look to the back wall and define the ‘kitchen area’ whilst oxidised aluminium door fronts to the far side of the island and the immediate facing cabinets underneath the sink contrast with the remainder of the island which is clad in a striking Sensa Black Beauty Marble. An additional breakfast bar area to the island creates a guest ‘hang out’ and is finished in a contrasting aged copper laminate, which dances spectacularly by day, and night! Marble also clads the sink area of the back wall for continuity, whilst underlit shelves add warmth. Using the tall cabinetry as a wall, we created a secret door leading to a pantry lined with the same dark veneer shelving – allowing the kitchen to remain clutter free. Mixed metals, bold finishes, and thoughtful touches deliver something quite different.
